BurgerFi is a newish chain in our area with 2 locations in NEOhio.   When I asked about getting their burger that they wrap in lettuce instead of a bun I was warned that the buns are everywhere in the kitchen. I wished that the employee would have said, “We have a procedure for that.” Now that I think about it I wish every restaurant I go to and say, I have to eat gluten-free or I have celiac would say that.

The nice thing about BurgerFi is that they have a lettuce wrap in a little cellophane baggie that goes halfway up the burger so that you can hold it and eat it.  I was surprised that it was 50 cents extra but it was so nice I was happy to pay it.

I also sent a comment to BurgerFi on their website suggesting that they have a procedure for preparing and serving GF.

Message from the baker Lindsey Schrock-
I am a celiac living in the Canton/Akron area of Ohio.
I have recently partnered with a  registered dietician and created The Bakery at Morning Mist Farm, a home bakery that produces gluten free cakes for the holiday season.
All of our cakes are baked in a dedicated gluten free facility.
Please note that our bakery is pick-up only; orders can be placed online but the cakes must be picked up on our designated pick-up dates.

Finally got to try it out.  When you choose the gluten-free dough it comes out in a special pan.  The preparer put on new gloves when putting my toppings on.  And there also was a separate knife for cutting the pizza up.   And very delicious!!!!!!!!!

Ate at Pizza Fire yesterday.  The pizza maker was well informed and, at my request, agreed to use fresh “from the back” ingredients for toppings.  She said the GF crust is frozen and is baked in its own pan and cut using a separate cutter.  They will take care to change gloves.  The GF crust costs an extra $1 and was a thin crust which arrived crisp from the oven.  However the toppings were wet and soon soaked in making the crust soggy. I had the Authentic Neapolitan Red Sauce and 3 veggie toppings.   I found the flavors bland, but perhaps a different choice of sauce or toppings would offer an improvement.  From order to eating was under 10 minutes.   It’s a great fast GF choice, though not the best GF pizza.
