Gluten Free Taste Fair

What are you doing this Saturday, Oct. 13? Mustard Seed Market is hosting a Gluten Free Taste Fair Noon to 4pm at both the Solon and Montrose stores.

“We’ll be serving various free samples of gluten-free fare, including a full range of meal choices from breakfast through dessert!”

It’s a great opportunity to try new GF foods.  Will we see you there?

Celiac Awareness Night at Quicken Loans Arena with the Cleveland Cavaliers

Join us for Celiac Awareness Night at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. and watch your Cleveland Cavaliers face the Portland Trail Blazers.

Each ticket includes $5 for food or drink.  In addition to the usual arena fare, a mobile cart with gluten free choices will be located near our group seats.

A thirty second Celiac Disease Public Service Announcement will be repeated on the Jumbotron, and our group will host an information table in the concourse with free goody bags (1 per family) for all who purchase tickets.

Please show your support for this one of a kind event. Let’s send the message to this arena that we want gluten free food so we can enjoy a game like everyone else. Support our home town team and come to support our group!

GF Luncheon at Tri-C Eastern Campus

Cafe 4250, the culinary student run cafe, will offer a GF lunch special on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct 3 & 4, 11:30-1pm, Tri-C eastern campus.

The menu is: Cold Summer Soup, Honey Mustard Barbecue Chicken Breast with Grilled vegetables and Butternut squash puree, Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

The cost is just $8.95. Make a reservation by calling 216-987-2496. Ask to be seated with the celiac support group (CDF NEO Chapter) on either day.

I enjoyed the GF lunch last spring.  The food was delicious and a bargain at the price.

GF Cooking Demo at the Hudson Library

Join Professional Chef Mariann Offtermatt at the Hudson Library & Historical Society for a discussion and cooking demonstration on gluten-free cooking and baking on Tuesday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. A variety of sweet and savory gluten-free muffins will be on the menu for the evening. There will be a $5 materials fee to cover the cost of ingredients. Register in person at the library’s second-floor reference desk. No phone registrations will be accepted. Space is limited.
