I was thrilled to have multiple gluten free choices. After consideration I tried a seasonal pumpkin scone, coffee cake, and chocolate chip cookie. The coffee cake was my favorite for taste and texture though the others were quite a treat, too.
I am writing this review as I sit at Propoganda. I have to say, I love the vibe.. love the people.. but the bakery today was dried out and old. I had pecan banana bread. I really wanted the overnight oats which in my experience are delicious. They are served with seasonal fruit and homemade granola… but alas it wasn’t ready until 11…..
Yes, I love visiting Propaganda. Had a GF “soft pretzel” today when I visited. While it was quite a bit chewier than I remember regular soft pretzels to be, the taste was good and it was served with a side of vegan queso which was quite good.
This shop is a dream come true. Gluten-free and dairy-free. And delicious – or as I like to say, “civilian quality.” Now I can enjoy a coffee and a delicious(!) breakfast sandwich made on a savory scone with egg and vegan sausage. Or, try some potato latke waffles with applesauce and vegan sour cream. I recommend the lemon lavender scones with icing. And anything with blueberries. Propaganda is in Lakewood, on Detroit, right across the street from Beck Center.
