Had the pleasure of eating breakfast at the Original Pancake House on Chagrin last week. GF pancakes are listed on the menu. The server was not knowledgeable about GF preparation and opined that I would not be able to order an egg dish. However the manager offered numerous options and confirmed that the canadian bacon and eggs with GF pancakes would be prepared GF. The restaurant was full at 9am on a weekday.
This is the 7th time I’ve reviewed or commented on this restaurant and it is still terrific. It was noisy on a Saturday morning but I really enjoyed my food.
Had a fantastic experience at the Fairview Park location. Attentive service including a visit from the manager confirming that the grill would be cleaned prior to making my food. And the food was delicious, served hot and fresh.
Family visiting from out of town insisted on breakfast here and enjoyed all of their selections. The GF pancakes and bacon were a treat for me, as always.
Just enjoyed my first indoor restaurant meal in a very long time. The GF pancakes and bacon were even better than I remembered!
Haven’t ventured out to too many restaurants yet but if you’re looking for some very yummy pancakes or waffles to enjoy at home til it’s safe to eat out again, my absolute favorite are by MinusG. The pancakes are so light and fluffy and I enjoy them plain without any syrup. They also just came out with a smaller size which I like since I make for just 1 person.
My husband and I noticed that the Westlake Original Pancake House was re-opening just after Father’s Day. We drove by the first Sunday it was open again and saw so many people waiting outside the restaurant and in their cars, that we just drove home. But we tried on a mid week day and were seated right away. All staff wore masks and tables/booths were carefully arranged for social distancing. We had the same, full menu available as always and I got to get my card punched – only 2 more meals/punches before I get my free meal. So this favorite is back and we are very grateful that it is! (And we are tipping wait staff very well – because they are giving good service and because we feel they need it in these difficult times.)
Still fantastic. Have been to the Woodmere location a number of times recently (can’t help it – I’m not the only one who likes it).
Enjoyed the same great experience this week (twice) as I had a month back! Can we say consistent? YES! Great pancakes! Eggs cooked to order! Bacon Crisp! Sausage Links! Really good coffee too:) Service is good and sometimes extraordinary…….
Enjoyed another tasty breakfast. Perhaps the best pancakes I’ve ever had. And I ordered crisp bacon and that’s what I got. Fantastic experience. Gets crowded, even on weekdays, but it is worth the wait.
