Yes! Another 100% Gluten Free Restaurant has opened, or rather, re-opened, having relocated from Chardon.
DaBOROS (The “bo” is for bowls, the “ro” is for rolls) lets you choose rice or noodle bowls—- hot or cold, raw or steamed, protein or all green—- rice wrap rolls, custom soups, fresh juices and smoothies. Always fresh daily, their goal is to serve healthy fast food to enhance life and satisfy the soul. Food IS fast, but there are also 12 seats available for sit-in dining.
It’s an entirely Gluten Free establishment with no wheat products on the premises, serving organic when available, non-GMO, local from farms, and preservative free. Offering Gerber shredded chicken breast, wild caught salmon, fresh avocados and free range eggs, they also have fresh in-house-made dressings with oil free options.
You may have seen their “grab and go” items at many Cleveland Clinic locations as well as the Indigo Hotel in Beachwood. Soon they will be updating their menu to include breakfast items (they may have already started) at their Mayfield location!

Finally had the chance to lunch at the University Heights location. What a treat. Fabulous selection of fresh vegetables steamed to order and wrapped in rice paper rolls. I ordered the daily special which included the beverage, a refreshing iced tea. Companion enjoyed pad thai noodle dish. So comforting to know everything is gluten free. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.
Stopped in last night for a pre-movie dinner!! The restaurant location is convenient to the Eastgate Atlas Cinema so makes a perfect light eating stop before heading to the movies. No bloat and room for popcorn if that’s your thing…..
Sampled a Caesar style spring roll creation – fresh, crisp, nicely wrapped with a really tasting dressing for dipping. Followed up with an Italian Roll up,
tomatoes and cheese in a rice dough baked hot but firm enough to eat out of hand! They have fresh juices and smoothies too – will test those out on my next trip along with soup. The soup option offers you three broth styles to allow you to customize the ingredients. A nice concept. Dedicated gluten-free facility, friendly staff, clean and fresh but tiny dining area!
Tried a bowl and a roll last week. Love the veggie packed goodness. Adding salmon to my bowl was a real treat. Look forward to my next visit. Highly recommended as entirely gluten free and a haven for veggie lovers.
