Please note the following statement from their website:

Gluten Intolerance/Celiac Disease
Most people wanting to avoid gluten can eat anything we serve except for our large and small flour tortillas.
Everything else is fine to eat for most people wanting to avoid gluten, including our crispy corn tacos and our corn chips.
However, you should know that it’s possible our corn may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field.
If you are highly sensitive and would like us to change our gloves, we would be happy to do that at your request. Additionally, because our folks work with wheat tortillas all day long, there may be the possibility of cross-contact in our restaurants. We encourage you to carefully consider your dining choices.

  1. I’ve eaten at 3 different Chipotle restaurants in the last few weeks. I go to the register and ask to speak with a manager to have my bowl prepared with food not on the main line (to decrease the chance of cross contact). The managers have been uniformly friendly and helpful.

  2. I’ve recently eaten at 3 different Chipotle locations and had a great experience at all.

I go to the register and ask to speak to a manager. I explain that I am concerned about cross contact. The managers have had no issue making my bowl from food not yet out on the general line.

I am flexible in what I eat. Sometimes beans and rice are available but often not. Chicken and the cold items like lettuce, salsas and guac have always been available for me. I enjoy the surprise of eating whatever is most freshly cooked.

  3. I have Celiac and my system is very sensitive to gluten. My daughter works at the Howe Ave. location. They’re trained to change gloves, spoons, etc., and will even get fresh ingredients for you upon request. Ask for Hannah if you go. If she’s working, she’ll take very good care of you. She’s also been trained about Celiac disease because of her mama!

    1. Just an update because I know people have gone to this location and asked for my daughter … she’s no longer working here. She’s moved on to banking!
