We ate at Deagan’s Kitchen in Lakewood last night. They have a regular menu on which they hi- lighted GF items in green. The ones I chose turned out to be quite bland – a crab and avocado salad plus a vegetarian curry. Their fried items are done in a shared fryer so definitely not an option for celiacs. It was busy and had a huge, younger adult bar crowd. I might return if in the area but would not make it a destination restaurant as it is just too bland for me. However, I do appreciate that the owners have identified potentially GF options and the waitress recognized the difference between folks who must follow GF dining versus those who just choose it for whatever reason. This is a good choice for younger adults with celiac who want a sports bar type atmosphere to hang out with friends.

GF Menu?: No

What did you order?: Pork

Was the server knowledgeable?: Marginally

Comments: I was very disappointed in Fahrenheit. There was no gluten-free menu, and only three options on the entire menu (no desserts) were gluten free. If you go, you’d better like pork, because two of the three were pork. The server seemed uncertain about my needs–recommending a gluten-filled dessert in spite of my careful explanation of what I needed.

I recently went to Danny Boy’s (Italian Restaurant) and they now offer Gluten Free pizza. It was so wonderful. Even better was dining out with my family eating a similar food. It was so delicious. We went to the location in Broadview Hts but I believe there are 5 locations altogether. Please spread the word. They said I was only the 2nd GF pizza that they have sold.

UPDATE 5/10/16

From Mariann:

I’ve recently had the pleasure of dining at Town Hall three times in the past 2 months.  At TownHall you will find a menu that includes all options of preparation – traditional, gluten-free, gluten-free available, vegetarian, and vegan.  They have been hard at work updating and keeping their menu relevant to all diners.  This is a really busy place to go, plan to wait, but enjoy the options.  Last visit I had the lamb burger with the g-f bun (too much bun for me but it was appreciated that it was available) and probably the best mug of bone broth ever (outside my own kitchen).  I opted for the vegetable medley since I was having a burger on bun and the vegetables were super even for this not-a-vegetable eater!  I opted for a bloody mary while everyone else was having beer since they don’t offer a simple g-f beer (ciders and kombuchas only).  While the drink was extravagant and wonderful my personal choice will always be a beer so I was a tad disappointed, but hey, I got my veg for the day!

From Gay (2013)

I ate lunch at the newest restaurant in Ohio City, Town Hall.
There are numerous items marked “GF” or “AGF” on their menu.
AGF indicates they can modify to make gluten-free.
I had a salad and a really delicious bowl of chicken chili.
It was very busy so I did not have the opportunity to determine if they use a dedicated fryer for their potato fries – which they indicate are GF
