Seeing a need to support each other with the demands and confusion of the gluten free diet, members met informally in
private homes about 20 years ago.

When the group grew, members moved to library meeting rooms, and have since tried to accommodate both the east
and the west side.

There are no dues. But because of cost and time constraints, we mainly use email and the website for event
announcements or information.

We have traditional support group meetings twice yearly. These are posted on our home page. At present we are
working on a mentoring program, for anyone interested in speaking to a Chapter member in a small, casual setting.

On the left, please use the form to sign up to receive free GF announcements. You can use the same form to ask a
question, provide us with gluten free/celiac disease news or information, or to give feedback on how to make Northeast
Ohio more gluten-free friendly. We value confidentiality and will not share your contact information. If you would like to
receive celiac disease/gluten free diet information sent to you, and become a dual member of the Celiac Disease
Foundation AND a member of the NE Ohio Chapter, please see the
MEMBERSHIP PAGE

As of May/June 2011, our name changed from the Northeast Ohio Celiac Support Group (NEOCSG) to Celiac Disease
Foundation Northeast Ohio Chapter. By becoming a chapter, we joined forces with the Celiac Disease Foundation (a
501(c)3 nationally respected non profit), and work to help those with celiac disease and their families.

Please consider volunteering by joining the steering committee. Our committee is full of caring vibrant members who
work to raise celiac awareness and help to educate those following a gluten free diet. See our home page for the time
and dates of our meetings at the Independence Library. The library is centrally located, with access from I-480, I-77,
Rockside Road, or Brecksville Road (Route 21).
